A reflection of the grand Queenslander homes and village lifestyle that Ascot is famous for, SILK is a stunning collection of just 13 prestige residences, and the first multi-residential development for GuavaLime in Brisbane. Buyers were offered the unique proposition to work with the architects at Loucas Zahos to design their own layout and choose materials and selections that better suited their needs.

SILK’s contemporary architecture plays on the Queensland verandah, with strong lines and an interplay of contrasting materials. Concrete, timber, metal, glass, and stone were deftly combined to create highly articulated façades with great street presence.

SquareBox was tasked with developing a name, logo, and full suite of branded marketing materials to take the project to market. The sculptural form of the logo was inspired by the buildings unique architecture, whilst the name and brand elements were derived from Ascots rich history, and the sites location a block from Eagle Farm Racecourse.

The colour scheme developed was drawn from the poinciana and jacaranda trees dotted down Racecourse Road.
